Azimut’s Seadeck Series Sets a New Standard for Sustainable Yachting

Azimut’s Seadeck Series will debut at Boot Düsseldorf in 2024 and is a milestone in responsible luxury.

Luxury and sustainability are two concepts that were once seen as incompatible but are now going hand-in-hand, and Azimut’s Seadeck Series is proof of that.

The bespoke superyacht builder has released a range of boats that are fitted with hybrid-electric motor technology for lower-emission yacht propulsion.

The Seadeck series consists of three models – Seadeck 6, Seadeck 7, and Seadeck 8 – each designed to be more eco-friendly than traditional vessels in their respective classes, with emissions expected to be reduced by up to 40%, marking a milestone in responsible luxury.

The latest engine is the result of a collaboration between Volvo Penta and Azimut and showcases over 20 years of research and development into sustainable innovation.

The design of the Seadeck Series is responsible in part to Alberto Mancini, an award-winning yacht designer who prioritized maximum emphasis on the concept of openness and transparency.

This design allows the boat’s passengers to fully enjoy the surrounding environment while also living in total contact with the sea. 

The yachts will be fitted with recycled and recyclable materials and will be equipped with energy recovery systems to create hot water and anti-UV films on the windows to moderate temperatures onboard.

Each Seadeck will feature rooftop solar panels, a lightweight carbon exterior and a sleek planing hull to increase efficiency on the seas.

The interior of the Seadeck Series boats – designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez – is also designed with conscious materials, such as cork, giving the boats sustainable credentials of their own. 

The Seadeck range will debut at Boot Düsseldorf in 2024.
